Trish O’Brien's story

Life is about the journey and I bring the experience from the tapestry of my life to the service you and I build together.

Well before becoming a celebrant I owned a hair and beauty salon in Auckland and was one of the city's leading bridal and special occasion stylists. My work was published in leading national and international bridal and trade magazines, newspapers and on TV, and I was the leading stylist at many bride and groom shows. The work helped me share some of my clients’ special moments.

After Mr Right swept me off my feet we eventually moved to the beautiful Bay of Islands and for our 11th anniversary, I planned a surprise marriage blessing. It was very small and intimate - just my husband and me, the celebrant, and a photographer.

It was a beautiful, meaningful time. I had always wanted to be a celebrant and that wonderful moment confirmed it for me. It’s a role I enjoy and cherish.

As a NZ Registered Celebrant, I am appointed by Registrar-General of Birth Deaths & Marriages, Department of Internal Affairs.
